Women's 7-Week Virtual Mindful Self-Compassion Workshop
What is Mindful Self-Compassion?
This workshop derives from Mindful Self-Compassion, a concept developed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer. Mindfulness involves awareness of the present moment without judgment, while self-compassion is our ability to engage with ourselves through kindness. Research on Mindful Self-Compassion has shown significantly increased self-compassion, compassion for others, mindfulness, and life satisfaction, as well as decreased depression, anxiety and stress.
What skills may I learn from this workshop?
- Cognitive behavioral skills to explore ways in which we negatively overthink, judge and ruminate
- Ways to effectively reframe the way we talk to ourselves
- How to be kind to ourselves when navigating through difficult emotions
- Identifying negative beliefs and thoughts about ourselves in order to become familiar with unhelpful thought patterns
- Mindfulness and self-compassion meditation skills
- Ability to understand the concept of common humanity by connecting with others as they share about their self-compassion practices
What will the workshop look like?
The workshop will have a limited number of spots in order to create a more intimate experience, first come first served. Sessions will meet once a week on Monday evenings at 7pm MST (6pm PST, 9pm EST) and will last 50 minutes long, for 7 weeks beginning on January 4th, 2021. Sessions will involve education around mindful self-compassion, vulnerable discussions and reflections and mindfulness and self-compassion exercises. In between sessions there will be journaling opportunities and check-ins with peers from the workshop, along with mindfulness and self-compassion exercises to practice.
What is the pricing? What if I would prefer to pay weekly vs. in-full?
The total for the workshop is $490 ($70 per week/workshop session). If you’d prefer weekly payment, send me an email to let me know.
What if I am not ready to commit to doing this work in a group setting and would prefer this workshop individually?

What if I am unable to be present for one of the weeks/sessions?
We will be recording any sessions in which someone is not able to be present and send to you via email.
