“Vulnerability is the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, courage, empathy, and creativity. It is the source of hope, empathy, accountability, and authenticity. If we want greater clarity in our purpose or deeper and more meaningful spiritual lives, vulnerability is the path.”
– Brené Brown
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#0018197) with a private practice located in the vibrant city of Boulder, Colorado. I am an Asian American originally from San Diego, California and a first-generation college graduate. I completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at San Diego State University, and subsequently pursued my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, California. During my academic journey, I worked as a certified yoga instructor, which significantly deepened my interest in exploring the profound connection between mind and body.
My professional experiences also include extensive training at the Harbor UCLA Medical Center, as well as at the University of Northern Colorado and the Boulder Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapies. I genuinely love this profession and find the practice of therapy to be both challenging and immensely rewarding, especially through my own experiences as a therapy client. I have a strong passion for continuous learning and am consistently seeking out new opportunities for personal and professional growth.
When I am not engaged in my work, I enjoy spending quality time with my partner, our baby, and our two lovable dogs. My self-care routine includes activities such as hiking, practicing yoga, exploring new restaurants and cafes, reading books, cooking, or enjoying a day skiing in the mountains.
